June 12th Sunday

Today was wonderful for two reasons. One we got a free day and two I got to go to church!! It started with me being able to get all ready and go to breakfast. At breakfast Dominique told me he watched my fb video of the cow fight, and that my reflexes saved my life! I told him it was a combination of being around rodeo my whole life and being a goalie the other half! HA! He is great! We caught the 9 train to Lausanne and a group of us went to the museum there. A famous designer names Stagmiser had an exhibition there and it was amazing, he really pushes his design. His company works 7 years and then take 1 off! Such an amazing idea! We left at 11:30 to catch the 11:48 train to Geneva. We got there at 12:30 and started looking or the church. Finally after God's mercy and sending us help and people and Pam's awesome directing skills we found the church. so we still had about 45 mins. until church started so we looked for food. It is hard on Sundays because nothing is opened here. We ended up finding a place next to a movie theater and the 6 of us shared a pizza for only 26 frank which was good. Then we went to church! It was so good to inside those walls. My soul jumped for joy and felt peace and comfort! It was an English speaking ward so everyone was so nice and asking us where we were from and what we were doing and welcomed us. The speakers talked about designing your life in a round about way. We got out at 3:30 got invited by the activities coordinators to some single activities that weekend ha ha, and then made our way back to Aigle and Leysin. It was fun we had some layovers so we got ice cream and played some made up games. Then came back had dinner and went to bed! GOOD DAY!

June 11th Saturday

Today we woke up at 5:30 which was not fun! Breakfast was at 6 and the train left at 6:58. We then got on a bus in Martigny and drove up to the Valaisan Alps. Then walked to the Alpine pasture "Combat of the Queens" natural arena. We went on the side of this hill to the outside of the twine that made a large arena on the hill. Then the brought out the cows. The cows have been locked up all winter long and this is the first time they are taken to pasture. The cows are moody, pregnant, and ready to fight. It was freezing there and poeple weren't dressed as well as they should have been. We stood around for an hour then Kaitlyn and I decided to walk around take some pictures and get warm. At about 11:20 we were standing by some of the group watching two cows fight. All of sudden they broke through the little string that made there arena. We all backed away thinking I was out of the way, when all of a sudden one of the cows headed straight for me. I back peddled for a while when I realized I needed to get out of the way. So as it's head and horn hit my side I dove out of the way and landed hard on my elbow. I immediately jumped up and ran away so I didn't get hit again! I came back to the group and everyone was thinking it was awesome and scary at the same time:) Luckily Russell one of the boys got it all on film. After making sure I was ok. We all walked down to where Dominique was BBQing. After lunch Angela, Kaitlyn, the dogs and I went for a little hike in the mountains! It was absolutely beautiful. It was time to head back to Leysin so Bob said we could either wait where we were for 3 hours or we could start walking and meet the bus. We decided to walk. We walked for about 35 minutes and reached the town, Bob said we could sit or walk another hour and make it to the next bus stop. So a small group of us including Bob and Angela and Kaitlyn took off down the mountain. We kept a brisk pace and enjoyed the scenery. However stop after stop we came too was not the correct stop. So after 1 hour and 30 mins of walking and only 13 mins to make it to stop we didn't know where it was Bob found a person to ask for directions. She told us it was a 10 minute jog. So off we went running to get to the next stop. We finally made it and 2 minutes later the bus came! Dinner was gross tonight fondue that was not good with bread. After dinner, Angela came to my room and brought me ice for my elbow and called her husband because he is a PA. She told him what happened and after he laughed for an hour. He finally asked me some questions and we ruled it out being broken. Then we had a meeting for school. After we watched some educational films, and welcomed Craig Jessop who is our dean. Big things are going down it is exciting!

Today we woke up LATE! Breakfast was at 7 and that is when we woke up. So I threw on clothes and put my hair up and headed to breakfast. Talia has been sick and she had to go to the hospital today with Dominique. Anyways after we got on the train and started the 3 and a half hour train ride and gondala ride to Lauterbrunnen Valley in Murren. It was basically a day to meditate and we needed it. It has been almost two weeks and everyone is starting to get worn down. I think we underestimated Bob's warnings of hard travel. Every day is a new challenge or perspective and each night we come home physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually wasted. We basically just hiked around the little towns and then through the forest to an over look place where we had about and hour and a half to meditate. I wrote two poems and took tons of pictures. Then we hiked down and Bob showed us a little honesty store. Which is a store where no one watch's it. They have things for sale and you just leave the money. It was amazing to me! Next we took forever to get back and then we all tried to go to bed early since we had to get up at 5:30!

Today is Lori's birthday!! So last night we planned a special dance with our friend Sam. I'll just say she had an interesting morning. We got on the train at 9 and headed to Bern we arrived at about 11:30 and went and saw the world's largest Coocoo clock. Bern is the town where Eienstien lived and worked for a while and came up with the Theory of Relitivity. We had some time for lunch and got Kebab's for Lori's Birthday. Then met back up with the group and started our walk to the Natural History Museum which is created and directed by Claude Cahun. It was amazing!! I took a museum studies class last semester and the amazing things Claude has done with designing information, so that people can visually see and understand it, would have blown my professor away:) We talked to him about design and his career and he answered questions. It was like meeting a famous person which he is. Then we had free time we went to the street fair and Lori bout Aladin pants for her birthday:) They looked way cute! Then we got some Gelatto it was delicious. When we got back Dominique had us sing to Lori and she had candles on her flan:) After dinner we threw a dance party on the veranda for Lori quite a few people from the group came it was fun! There was a business meeting so some people couldn't come. Angela gave Kaitlyn and I an assignment about opportunity costs. We were trying to get Dr. Fawson to cancel or combined the meeting with our dance party. It didn't quite work:) We ended up finishing our flash mob which will be great once we finally do it! Later I was talk to Angela and Bob and we had some tea and talked about life. I love the opportunities I have to pick successful wonderful people's lives:) Bob and I walked Angela to where she was staying and I got to ask him about the program on the way home. Such a great night!

Today we had to switch around what we were doing because of the weather. So we ended up taking a 5 hour train ride to Weil-am-Rhine, Germany to the Vitra House. The Vitra house is a furniture company dedicated to developing healthy, intelligent, inspiring and durable solutions for the office, home and public spaces. It was actually pretty amazing, I didn't know if I would be a entertained as I ended up being. We were there for an hour and a half and I just went from room to room amazed each time! They had chairs, tables, lights, couches and other furniture but it was some of the most unique things I have ever seen. This trip is amazing our group is so great we can just chill with everyone and it's like having one big family! I enjoy getting to talk to new and different people each day. We spent some time in Basel after the Vitra and did some shopping. Me and Kaitlyn and Talia went to H&M I got a scarf:) I am really going to miss the people here when I am done. So far... So Wonderful!!!

Today we began our journey to Fribourg, where we were able to walk around the most beautiful little towns. All I could keep thinking was that I felt like I was in A Knight's Tale. We stopped at some water fountains and looked at Heraldic Symbols and talked about design, and how these were basically the first logos. Then we hiked to the top of a hill and took off our shoes as we began our pilgermage on St. James Way to the St. Nicolas Cathedral. The walk with no shoes was very interesting it made me really think about sacrifice. I pondered the many people who make modern day pilgramege's and why they do it. Then inside the Cathedral we sat for a moment and I was able to meditate and listen to the organ being played. After that Lori, Kaitlyn and I walked up 368 steps to reach the top tower of the cathedral. It took forever but it was worth it!! You could see the entire city! We took pictures and played around then walked the 368 steps back down which made me slightly sick:) Then we walked to the local Art and History Museum which was amazing. Everything in there was from the 1500's to the 1700's. Then we decided to make a stop at H & M which was not such a great idea because we almost got left, because we almost missed the train!! Then dinner, cards, ukelee and bed!!

June 6th Monday

Today was basically riding on a train all day long. We got on our first train at 7:48 am and didn't get to our destination until 12:45 that also includes all the connections. Then we had lunch and took a small walk in the city of Dornach to Goetheanum. Which is basically a centre for Rudolf Steiner's memeber's of his movement Anthroposophicology. This building was constructed in 1924. I felt like I was in the movie Willy Wonka the entire time I was in the building. The walls, ceiling, lines, decorations, windows were crazy Alice in Wonderland feel. I really enjoyed our tour though. Basically our tour guide said that Steiner gave the world many things but his 3 basic principles were 1st: Creating spirituality on an everyday basis not just on Sundays (which I completely agree with). 2nd: is a balance between R-thinking and L-thinking or Art and Science which is what we have been studying in Switzerland. 3rd: Was a process of re-incarnation. Which was also very interesting. Our tour guide also talked about Eurtheymy which is like a dance tai - chi/ yoga thing. It helps to heal your body, it reminded me of my Aunt Teri she is a massage theripist. One of the advisors Angela and I had a amazing convo on the train ride back about everything we felt and thought and learned. I really enjoy Angela as a person and Advisor sometimes I look at her and see myself in 5 years. She is 28 and has accomplished a lot and we have similar ideals. Overall it was a good day besides the 8 hour train rides:)

Today was a hard day. We woke up later than we thought and barely caught free breakfast. While there we realized we were not going to be able to catch the train with everyone else to go to church. so bummed out about that we came back to our room and got ready and caught up on some things we needed to do. We decided we would walk around our town Leysin. On our way up to check what time the train was leaving to catch up with some of our friends the girls we were going down with informed us that the train was going to leave. So we grabbed our stuff and headed to the train station. We made it to Lausanne where we were suppose to be meeting people to get paddle boats but it kind of fell through. Kaitlyn, Lori, and I walked around looked at shops and I bought a bracelet. Then we had our first experience with Kebabs for lunch!!! They were amazing to say the least!! Then we wandered around town and passed a bar filled with people watching a tennis match so we went in for the experience and bought some Pepsi's and yelled at the T.V. with the locals!!! We came back ate dinner which the main course was some kind of fish and the first thing I didn't really like. After dinner we had a talk about Steiner. Then went and built a fire. we are all becoming so close so having a bon fire and roasting marsh mellows is so much fun! Started out not great but ended good:)

The Witch's Tower

Today was the first day that I was actually able to get ready!! Downside while trying to straighten my hair I blew the straightener out. Sorry Mom:) So after getting all ready with straight hair and blowing up my Mom's flat Iron Talia and I walked up the hill of death that we walk up everyday. Just as we got to the top I realized I had forgotten my Swiss pass (which gets me free transportation all over Switzerland) and my passport. So down the hill I sprinted with only 15 mins. until the train was coming to get us. I was nervous but after sprinting down and part of the way back up I turned the corner to the train station and the train pulled up:) We went to Sion where we saw the Witch's tower a place where they kept people that were accused of being witch's. Then to the Notre-Dame-de-Valere where we heard the world's oldest functioning organ! It was amazing we had our own private concert!! Next we visited a stone Altar where sacrifices were made. Then we went to the Tourbillon castle ruins which were awesome! Then it was off to the Street Art Festival. The entertainment was interesting to say the least. But we window shopped and me and Sarah got a waffle and they were delicious!! Then back to Leysin for dinner time. After dinner Bob and Angela two of the advisors joined some of us for some yoga and then I taught everyone the shuffle, which turned into more teaching and then a giant dance party!! Bob was killing me he was trying so hard which was awesome he is great and so is Angela!!! Great advisors really make the trip!!

Hospice continued Day 3

Today was our last day at the Hospice, which to clarify... Bob thought it was a Monestary but actually the Friar corrected him and told him it was a Hospice. A Hospice is a place for people to gather and a Monestary is for the Monks or Friars to gather. We had class for an hour and packed our gear up. Class was amazing as usual we discussed our core values and roles and personal mission statements. Angela who is one of the consultants for the Huntsman School of Business helped us prepare! She is awesome and her and I have become fast friends we have very enjoyable conversations about life:) After we had tea time at 10:30 and then wrapped up and had free time to play ping pong!! Then lunch time came we ate our last meal and we helped the Friars clean again. This time the museum they were so grateful for our hard work and our quickness... 112 hands makes the work go faster. After we all got ready and bundled up to trek down the hill, we met everyone in the hall way to say goodbye. Dominique who is the owner of the hotel and one of our guides, spoke first and thanked us for all we had done and worked for at the Hospice he choked up and then we all sang God Be With You Til We Meet Again. It made me tear up just being there with the friar and being able to serve and realizing no matter our nationality our faith or our circumstance we are all God's children and even though I was sad and knew I would never see these people again. I knew we would meet again at Jesus feet. Then Friar Josee sand a pslam with us. We kissed Margarite and Friar goodbye and began our walk down. It was beautiful all the snow had melted. Then it was more trains and buses and dinner time then we were exhausted so sleep followed that.

Hospice continued Day 2

This morning after breakfast and class we attended a special mass for the accention of Christ. It is a holiday that is celebrated all over Europe to commemorate the accending of Christ into Heaven. Mass is very interesting to me and it was fun to be a part of it. My favorite part was when one of the girls in our group Amory sang two hymns the first was Abide With Me and the second was How Great Thou Art (and this girl was on American Idol and she is amazing) it brought me to tears almost and it was such a testimony to me of the truthfulness of the church and how powerful a hymn is. Next we took a walk to the Italy side of the Alps is was nice to get out of the Hospice and play around and hike and take pictures. A large group of the guys all jumped into the snow with out their shirts on it was hilarious:) After our hike we came back to the Hospice and did a service project for the Friar we cleaned the entire chapel. It was so neat to serve them, especially after all they had given to us. Then tea time again at 4, then off to meditate and do assignments. I am really enjoying all the classes and assignments so far. After dinner they gave us a tour of the cellar and of the museum they have there. Right as Kaitlyn and I were walking out of our tour we ran into the rest of our group headed to the bar so we joined them. One of the girls who is working at the Hospice came with us her name is Margarite. She is very nice and can translate so that was nice. We got the best coconut and lemon Ice Cream that came in real coconuts and lemons and Lori and I got a Coke also. Some members of our group drank some alcohol that was called the cup of friendship. It was an interesting night ha. It is fun to hang out with locals and try to soak everything in.

On Monday morning we woke up at 5:00 am to prepare for what I am sure will be and has been so far the most difficult physical task we had. After boarding the train we caught a connection and then had to ride two buses and it took 2 hours to get to the spot where we could begin our hike. When we got to the base of the alps it was blizzarding and we had to strap on snow shoes and begin the 3 mile all up hill in snow shoe hike. It ended up taking almost 2 hours and it was extremely difficult. This pass we took is popular because it had been used since the Bronze Age to get from France to Italy. It was used by Napolean and many people making pilgramage's and this is where the Saint Bernard dog stayed and became famous. Once at the Hospice or monestary we were able to shower and rest and then we had tea time at 4 and mass at 6. It was exciting I had never been to mass before, these Friars that are there are dedicated men of the lord, trying to spread his love for people through their hospitality. Later that night we had class on Designing our life instead of planning it, hopefully I can talk more about that later. This was the first day I will break up the other two for lengths sake.

Today was such a better day!!! I slept for 10 hours last night from 8:30 pm ( I know Mom don't pass out from surprise because of the earliness of the hour I retired to my bed:) to 6:30 this morning!! It was a beautiful thing! Breakfast was extremely yummy some kind of granola chocolate cereal uncooked meat, cheese, bread, Orange juice, and homemade apple juice. Mmmm most I have eaten for breakfast in a long time. After a good meal we walked up the hill of death ( a very lovely steep hill probably the equivalent of 3 or 4 blocks long that works every single muscle in your butt and legs) and went to the train station where we boarded the train and began our journey. Once on the train I was squished in-between some Swiss people with no one to talk to. So I found some nerves and said to one of the boys (excuse my spelling) Parle Vou Engles? Luckily they did!!! We immediately began discussing life, he was 14 and named Killion, and his friend was 12 and named Somo (he reminded me of my brother Slade) They take the train everyday to school. It was fun to try out french and to talk to some locals. After making some transfers to some other trains we arrived in Ouchy. Once there we had some time to get some lunch I had the best ham and cheese cresant everything tastes better here! Then we met Bob at the Labyrinth which was a large circle on the cement that was a maze and he talked about how when you are doing a maze it engages your left brain and leaves your right brain free to create things. We played there for a while then off to the Olympic Museum. Once there we had a few assignments and then free time to look around. It was way neat they had every single gold medal since the Olympics restarted they had all the torches and all different kinds of clothing and shoes from the Olympics. Next it was off to catch the boat to sail across Lake Geneva. We had a blast on the boat we were dancing and I got to teach some people how to do some moves:) We sailed for a while and finally made it to Chateau Chillon. It was a beautiful castle right on the coast of the lake. It was beautiful besides the non stop rain. We were able to go to the dungeon where many artists have been inspired. It is so wonderful to be emersed in beautiful design and history. We made the long train ride back and had dinner it was an overall wonderful day!!! Tomorrow we are going to the Great Saint Bernard Pass and staying in the monestary there for two nights. Thus I will not be writing on here because no electronics besides camera's are allowed there. So that story will be told later!!! Much love!!

First Day in Switzerland

Well I am here!!! Switzerland is beautiful!!! The people are great the mountains are great!! Life is GREAT!!! It is 1:30pm here on Monday afternoon we just finished lunch and have a bit of a break before we tour the town of Leysin which is where our hotel is!!! I have almost been awake for 24 hours now it was impossible to sleep on the flight and with the time difference we arrived in Switzerland in the morning when it really should have been night:) I have already taken some great pictures ha ok well I have taken some pictures which I will post later when I have a little bit more time but so I don't get behind I will probably post random things when I remember and then photos at the end of the day. Nothing too exciting has happened yet today but it is early here so there is time!!! Talk to you soon.

What You Will Need

For this tutorial you will need a computer, and a text edit window and the html coding that I will provide. This tutorial should only take a few minutes. However feel free to play around with different text on your website to see where this would be most useful.

Step By Step

Open your text edit. Go to format make plain text. Next open your html by putting the (html) code in.

I absolutely love this website. I work at Sign Pro as a Graphic Designer and on my Mac this is the home page for the internet! I love the simplicity of the background but how it has a modernistic feel with the diagonal lines. Its mostly a monochromatic site so it lets the main colors of whatever design they are highlighting really shine through. This site is so successful for me because everyday I take a look at what all different designers are doing all over the world, and it inspires me to design something great today. To really step outside my box myself and just design.

The thing that I love about this site is it looks like a bunch of snapshots were taken of the fabulous designs. They have the picture than usually a little description below that tells about the design or what it is used for. Then if you click on the picture it takes you to the site of were the picture is coming from. So you can buy the product or learn more about the designer or design process.

They have all the snap shots the same size so that visually it flows and only do the pictures inside capture your eye and not because one is larger than the other.

I believe that this site doesn't use a ton of bells and whistles or sounds and motion because it really is to just explore what designs are being talked about what people are producing. It could be anything too there are kitchen knifes to staplers to lamps to sculpture and paintings. It is all art and design to this website.

I feel that this site can relate to anyone who is interested in design or art. If you like visually pleasing things then this site is for you.

Hey y'all so sorry that it has been forever!!! I have just been a busy little bee no time for the blog but I had a bit of time and some pictures finally so I decided to do a post about my big dance night at the HOWL!

The Howl is a huge Halloween dance that USU puts on every year. People come to this from all over Utah and Idaho. This year my dance team were some of the main performers for this dance. The Howl is crazy they have bands and a dance floor and Halloween games and a Haunted house. Let me tell you if you go to college this is the place to be. It was soooo much fun!! We worked on our dance for months and we finally were ready to hit it!! So on Halloween We had dress rehersal from 1:30 til 3:30 and then we were back at 4:30 and we were finally done at around midnight. As you can see are theme was Dolls!! We were all dressed up like creepy porcelain dolls! Our first few performances were done where people had to enter into the dance. This was fun because while we weren't dancing we were crawling in and out of the lines scaring people. Mostly girls were scared and screamed but it was still fun!! After doing like 5 performances in the entrance we went to the ballroom where we had two main performances! We did our best in the ballroom and it was fun because we just all laid down on the floor and were asleep when people came in and they all wanted to take pictures with us and stuff! A few of my roommates and my friend Ericka Ahleen (who I probably wouldn't have made it through this with out her because she ran errands and brought me food because she is the best ever!!!) came up from St. George and they all came to hang out and support me!!! Got to love your friends!

After we I was dancing finally I got to go hang out with Ericka and my roommates! This definitely was my favorite dance performance because I got to stick to a character all night and scare people!! I love my dance team!!!

So this past weekend on the 10th I had the great privilege and honor to attend the Kelly Clarkson and Reba Mcentire concert!! It was one of the top five nights of my life!! My good friend Ericka Ahleen who is a stud, gave me this wonderful early Christmas present!!! The tickets were seventeenth row on the floor!! Kelly was amazing!!! Her voice gets better and better every time I hear it! I know there are a lot of people out there who don't love Kelly but ya gotta give it to the girl, She can SING! One of my favorite parts of the show was when Kelly sang the song "Stuff Like that there". It is a big band swing song that she sang on American Idol! I also loved when Barbra Jean off of the show Reba came out and opened for them. She does this super funny stand up skit.
After the show Ericka and I stayed in Centerville at her grandmas. The next morning we got up and drove to my apt. in Logan. It was so much fun having Ericka here to meet my friends and Saturday night we all went to the movie Eagle Eye! It was so good and Shia is hott!! Thank you so much Er for doing this for me and going with me!!! It was amazing, I will for always remember and cherish that night!!

Ericka Tagged me!

1. Can't Stop my FEET! I dance every where I go!!! There doesn't even have to be music!! My feet just take over! I can be standing in a line at a store at work at school, even at church!! It probably is some kind of disease but my friends and family seem to get a kick out of it!! HA

2. GOT to have my BEAUTY SLEEP! If my alarm doesn't go off I will sleep until about 1 in the afternoon!!! I will admit I don't always go to sleep at the most decent hour! But I blame it on my roommates!! ;) I am also very hard to wake up there are only a few ways to get me up HAPPY before 10 am!! HA!

3. DR. PEPPER! GOtta have it! EVery day almost!! I love my soda!! I love D.P. and Coke and sprite all of it is good! I am trying to cut back, my nutritionalist tells me that I will be healthier person if I can go to one every once in a while but I am taking it slow! ;)

4. Wrist PRobLemS! I sprang my wrist my sophomore year in high school and every since them every time i turn my wrist it pops! Now it will get stuck or when i am nervous i will pop it with out really realizing it! People always look at me crazy!!

5. Bursts OF SONGS! My roommates call me the human radio! I always have a different song in my head and I know a ton of different ones! We will being having a convo and someone will say only you would do that and I will burst into ONLY YOUUUU1!! haha Im crazy I know this so it is ok!!!

6. LOVE! So I have this fetish with Love and hearts! I talk about love and get really gushy when I watch movies with love in it! Its all about Romeo and Juliet and unconditional love that you can share with that one person who every morning when you open your eyes you are excited to see their face laying next to you and get even more excited knowing that it will happen that same way every day for the rest of your life!

I just wanted to take the chance to express my appreciation for the gospel and the opportunity, honor, and privilege I have to be a member of the LDS church and how proud I am to count myself among the 13 million other members!!!! I am so grateful for the prophet President Thomas S. Monson I know that he is the prophet today and leads and guides us in righteousness!! I feel so blessed to be able to watch the prophet and the other leaders of the church and listen to the messages that they have for me! I am so grateful for my savior Jesus Christ and for all that he has done for me in my life! I love you all and I am so blessed to know you! May god be with you all til we meet again!

I will be performing next this Friday the 26th of Sept. at Club New York around 11pm and probably 12pm!!! After that we will perform the next Friday the 3rd at the USU tailgate party!!! So on Wednesday I saw a poster that said hip hop dance crew tryouts, I thought to myself Crazylegz (that is what I call myself) you should try out for that cause you love to dance. As I continued to walk to class I quickly convinced myself that it was a stupid idea to try out since I wasn't even that good! Later that day my friend Lacey Buttars told me that she was trying out for fun and that I should go with her! I thought about it all day and right around 5 o'clock I decided I would at least go check it out(tryouts started at 5:30). I was super nervous not knowing exactly what to expect but as the director (Krissy) introduced herself I knew this was going to be fun! They started out by teaching us a dance pretty quick to see if we could catch on. After running it a few times they broke us up into groups of 6 ( there was about 40 people who tried out) and had our groups come in and perform it. After all the groups went they brought us all in and said they were making a first cut! I thought for sure that I was going to get cut because there were so many talented dancers in there! But as luck would have it I made it past first cut's!!! Next they taught us another routine and did the same breaking us into groups and having us perform. After all the routines were done they turned on some music and said, ok form a circle and they called each number into the middle to dance one at a time. As soon as the freestyle was done I was feeling pretty confident. They kicked us all out so they could deliberate and finally after 10 mins called us back in! Krissy thanked us all and said she would read the numbers that had made the team. Once she started I was nervous and as she neared the 30's I was even more nervous but then sure enough and to my surprise she called 35!!!! Which was my number and I was soo stoked! I signed on for a year contract and I can get school credit too, there were about 15 who made the team! My first performance is tomorrow and we are a school dance team so we will perform at basketball games and all that good stuff! This is already super long so im out PEACE!!

Moving out and Moving on!

So this weekend was my first big move away from home! I have been living out of my parents house for a year now but I lived about 7 blocks away. Yesterday I made the move all the way to Logan Utah which is 7 hours away a little bit of a difference from my 7 blocks :);). It is a hard thing to realize that you are old enough to not live with your family and be on your own, it might be harder though to realize how much you need and depend on that family. I just want to say how thankful I am for the amazing parents I have and how support they have been about college and getting my education. Also I would like to thank my younger sister Tessie for being so amazing and being an example to me! Also to Slade my younger brother for being happy and loving me! I wouldn't be here where I am now if it weren't for my Grandparents and my Aunt who have helped fund and support me while I am here! I love all my family and I feel so lucky to have them in my life!! So far the move in has been well! I have my room set up and my roommates are all super nice and easy to get along with! I can't wait for school to start! I have a burning to learn all that I can about my major! P.S. I love all of St.George and I miss it and the people there greatly! I was so fortunate to be a part of the people and lives down there! Just this last weekend I saw the best movie!!! MAMMA MIA ! I loved that movie! First off for everyone who hasn't seen it just know that if you don't like musicals you won't like it and second if you don't have a sense of humor you won't like it either! I have a little bit of a secret though, I went to Mamma Mia 3 TIMES!!! Yes not just once but 3 in 2 Days. I was like MAMMA MIA here I go again and again and again!! HA! Well I think that everyone should see it because it makes you laugh and cry and want to fall in love! Oh and dance and sing!! Until we meet again! Peace Out.

Like I said I am not sure exactly what this is? I get the feeling it is almost like journal that you let everyone else read? Thus I am a little fuzzy on what I should be writing! So I guess I will start with my Moab trip I just returned from. Last Thursday my friend Amanda, myself and these three other girls that Amanda brought packed up and headed to Moab, Utah!! WHOOT WHOOT. Anyways we decided to go camping in Moab and do some river rafting! Yes I know it is pretty idiotic to go camping in a place that temps range from 95 to 110 all summer, but we did! Well when we got there on Thursday it was about 9:30 and we started to set up our camp in the dark! But we are seasoned campers so it was easy! Next my good friend Erin Taylor who is working in Moab for the summer as a tour guide came to our camp site and began discussing all the wonders of Moab! After of about 5 minutes of listening to Erin we were all worn out, way too much to do there;). We then decided that it was time to feed ourselves! Just to let you all know the town of Moab which is not very big at all closes down around 9. By this time it is 10:30 and we are all starving. So we hit main street hoping to find some good eatins! The only thing open besides a Denny's is Wendy's. So we pulled up to the drive thru and got some yummy stuff and headed back to our camp site! After we ate we were extremely tired from driving all day so we went to bed! The next morning Amanda had got up early and went to the market and brought us fruit and muffins! After that we headed to the Moab Adventure Center or the MAC where Erin works. She was wonderful and told us about this place where we could go cliff diving and swimming and then she said we could meet up later for a sunset hike to the delicate arch! So we took off to the pool hike which was amazing! We ended up at some pretty cool pools that were freezing. When we were done playing in the pools we went to the Moab Diner which serves the best greasy burgers! The next part of our trip didn't go the best we ended up sitting around for like 3 hours in the 108 hot sun! (Yes this is where the why the HECK did we go camping in the middle of July conversations come in, and they aren't fun.) So every one had to have a little attitude check and then we were off to meet Erin for our hike! This was one of my two favorite things we did there. The hike up to the arch is about a mile and a half but it was so pretty. We got the arch just as the sun was setting! This was one of those you want to say a little prayer to God and thank him for taking time to create something so beautiful that probably serves no other purpose then just being beautiful times. After staring at the arch and going and standing in it and laying in it, and then being chewed out by Germans because they wanted a picture of it without me in it(still haven't figured that one out!) we went to the look out point and sat down and waited for the moon! We were so lucky because it was a full moon and the way the moon light pored over the arch was unbelievable. After we sat there for an eternity looking at the stars and moon and after Erin stopped singing me love songs:) we decided to hike down which was much harder than it looked in the dark! Fortunately we all made it back safely and decided to go to Denny's to get some food because again it was the only thing open! After a fun filled night of Erin getting all kinds of free food from Ron our crazy old waiter we were able to go to bed(one of my favorite things!). The next morning we woke at 7:30 to go on a river rafting trip! This was my other favorite thing! We loaded a bus and drove to the Green River I think it is and we unloaded these huge yellow rafts that hold up to about 12 people and then little two man canoes that are called duckies. Our fun little guides name was Ira and he was a character! Picture Ichabod Crane and this was him! He was also filled with fun facts about the surrounding landscape! After the first few miles Ira told us we could jump out and go swimming. I of course was the first one in. This was the best because you just sit in the water and float right along side the raft! We eventually made it through the crazy rapids and lunch time and the 14 miles of river which took almost all day, and then we headed back to the camp! All of us girls jumped in the showers it was lovely. Then we found this yummy little restaurant called Pasta Jay's and we had dinner. During dinner Erin called me and invited us to go see the new Batman movie with her and her friends only me and Amanda went the other three girls went back to the camp. Batman was insane! Heath Ledger gave the performance of his life! He creeped me out big time! After the movie we said goodbye to Erin and went back to go to sleep and the next morning took off for St. George! It was a blast to go to Moab I recommend it to anyone who loves out doors and camping!
